One of the things I value the most in my life is my computer, I bought it out of months of hard work a year ago, I was still studying in college and it was hard to come upon any extra money, then I discovered the translation services my university offered and their desperate need for a Spanish to English translator, after some tests I was chosen as the official translator for non-diplomatic documents and started working immediately. After several months of saving up I went ahead and bought a MacBook Pro and filled it with Audio and Video editing programs, since then I have probably loved it more than any other electronic device I’ve ever had.

Fire safety is a precaution taken to protect fire or it may cause death, loss and damage. Fire safety is planned when constructing a building. Portable AFFF fire extinguishers are used to control or extinguish fire in emergency situations. It’s cylindrical in shape and color normal color is red. It’s used in places where people highly crowded. Normally there are two types, handheld extinguisher and wheeled type. Handheld type is used in homes, theatres, small malls etc. But wheeled type is used in industries, airports. Normally fire produced when short circuit of an electric line, gas leakage, misuse of fire by people.

I often work as a Spanish to English translator for my college or other private work, the job is interesting as it covers a wide spectrum of subjects and often allows for new learning experiences, there was a especially fun translation I will never forget. The topic was card games, not especially exciting, but it was a conference given by an Australian who must have had some sort of speech disorder. He would be talking normally, with a very serious expression in his face and suddenly he would just start talking to some invisible person or animal in this hilarious tone and matter, after a few seconds he would snap back, look at the slide and continue exposing. The translation brought me uncountable hours of fun and I still keep the video for those days I need to cheer up a bit.

Two weeks ago I noticed a strong wind blowing outside my house, I decided to fly a kite for a while, it isn’t very common to have strong, constant winds in our area so I was pretty thrilled and I didn’t notice I left the door open. After I managed to get the kite up I saw my miniature pincher Marth come out the door. With one hand on the kite’s string I crouched to pat the dog. He jumped at my arm and went straight for the hand with the string, biting hard on the second handle. Marth tried to keep the kite grounded pulling like mad, I placed the second handle on his collar and let go of the kite. His weight was just right, he would go up for a little bit and then slowly back down. I kept behind him the whole time, laughing at his adventure.

My last fancy was the dinner from three nights ago, me and my girlfriend were celebrating our good times together and the fact that we had been dating for 6 months. We decided to make some dinner for  just the two of us at her place, we went to the market and bought all the ingredients to make a nice Pork Breast with a fine herb crust and a sweet red fruit sauce. We decided to get some potatoes for a puree and make a lettuce salad with tomatoes and strawberries, I had a nice bottle of red wine saved up for a nice meal and we drank it up along with the rest of our nice meal.

I prefer spending my time alone and hate big crowds, this is one of the reasons I don’t go out to parties with my friends, in a place with such big Latin influence partying is almost as vital as breathing and most people at my college deem me as weird for not enjoying it. Once a month I organize a small cocktail night at my house and invite some friends and whomever they want to bring as their couple, this events are becoming popular and some people have asked me if I would consider working in parties. I then realized I would gladly go to a party to make cocktails.

Yesterday we went hiking with two of my friends, the idea was to simply chill out in the great mountain range beside our houses, we took a picnic basket full of food and a lovely checkered mantle we used to avoid grass stains, the trip was fabulous and we managed to see a couple of hares and a deer in the distance.

After a while we decided to try to find a peach tree we used to take fruits from when we were much younger, when we finally arrive at the spot we found out it had fallen over after a large storm last week, the bark was still there but the fruit was already rotting.

I was never on text messaging.  I had 250 text messages included in my mobile phone package.  With my group of younger friends, I eventually had to switch to the 1,500 message package to keep up.  Now, I am being forced to upgrade once again to Unlimited Text messages to avoid overages each month.  I was born in the 80’s, so I am not behind the times.  I just remember, and miss, the days when people would pick up the phone and call their friends.  I fear that at some point, talking and feeling emotions will become a thing of the past as we move deeper into this technological movement.

I have my likes and dislikes with the State of Texas.  The part I like the most is that our economy, thanks to the oil and gas industry, has not been majorly affected by the economic climate in the country.  I am still gainfully employed and living life as I always have.   One thing that always gets to me about this state is that it is a Republican state, and always will be.  I would love to live in a state with more liberal social laws, like Massachusetts, but I fear that by doing so I may cut myself out of a stable job market.

Before we know about fire safety we must first know the cause of fire. In our day to day life mainly fire occurs due to electric short circuits. We must first have a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher installed at our home and work places. Fire may be classified mainly as four classes according to how it occurs. Fire may occur in combustible materials, petroleum products, electric wiring and flammable metals. Carbon dioxide fire extinguisher must not be used on flammable metals because it may cause high explosion. Use water type standard automatic fire extinguisher for fire in flammable metals. Safety must be taken while using fire. The wires of your home must be periodically checked for any malfunctions.
