I love many places in the world.  I love nature and I love cities. But, my favorite place is New York.  New York is interesting and exciting.  New York is a cultural Mecca and an entertainment spot.  New York has a lot of culture and offers plenty of options to its inhabitants. Theater in and off Broadway, independent cinemas, foreign movies, famous pop and rock artists from all over the world are some of the attractions New York offers. Classical music, including opera and ballet are always present in this city; big art and history museums, art galleries with paints and sculptures from the most famous artists in the world, and street amateur artists are other big attractions this city offers. First class restaurants, gourmet supermarkets and small grocery stores provide additional charm to this city.  Everything I expect from a city, this city has.

One of the best investments that anyone can make to protect their belongings is in purchasing a home fire safe. Any important documents or items that need to be kept in a secure place should be kept inside of a fire proof safe. It is impossible to know when tragedy could strike. A fire can occur at any time and even with proper equipment inside a house or business, sensitive papers or items could be lost or damaged during a fire. Unlike normal, everyday safes, fire safes offer much more protection. They are specially designed and made to withstand high temperatures, making them much better at not only protecting items from fire but from the heat as well.

I always loved Superman.  He is strong and very humane.  If I have the chance to be a superhero I would love to be him. I will fly and reach far destination, I will have the force to fight all the bad people and to penalize the enemies of the human race.  I will have the x-ray vision to see through objects in order to find explosives and other objects that may endanger people. Also I want to have the intelligence and humanity Superman has.  Maybe the only thing I do not want is the double life, being Clark Kent sometimes and Superman some other times.  I would love to be Superman all the time.

Many years ago, when I was a teenager I got an unforgettable gift.  At that time I was a fan of the band Blondie.  I commented to everybody how much I liked this band.   I did not have any of the albums or singles from this band since I do not have the money to buy. For Christmas in 1980, a gift from my aunt was a music album.  When I opened the gift I got the surprise of my life, it was the BEST OF BLONDIE album!  It had all the greatest songs from this band.  I did not even know this album exited.  This was my coolest gift ever.

About a foot from my laptop, and maybe seven inches from my iPhone, I have a bag of this Oolong tea that is supposed to be high in antioxidants as well as boasting a “rich, fruity, earthy, and luxurious” aroma.  The packaging is quite refined and tasteful. I feel very bad about drinking this tea because it just radiates snobby hippy ultra-chic tea vibes and yet I will be drinking it in a Styrofoam cup because that’s what’s around me. The irony of this is crushing. I’m basically going to drink an entire cup of pure irony. Please help me.

I’d take my mom, and I’d take her to Ireland along with one of my friends. Why? Well because Ireland is just naturally awesome and beautiful. Ok, so southern Ireland is naturally beautiful. Northern Ireland is full of beautiful people though, so that counts for something. My mother has always wanted to go but never been able to find time or money so it would be a great way to spend time with people I care about while giving somebody something they always wanted.

I generally like the holidays so I may be biased. It seems like this year people were quite relaxed and accepting. So often people get trapped in the idea of what a holiday season needs to be, so that they can’t just enjoy what is. This causes so much stress. Especially when it comes to presents. People get way too caught up in buying the right kinds of presents when they should be thinking more about presence instead. It doesn’t matter what some one buys you or what you buy them, what matters is the time you spend and who you want to spend it with.

To new friends, new places to travel, and generally to another year of being alive.  Ultimately that’s all we have in life so it should probably be something we value. I hope the new year brings lots of good experiences and future memories, and that I get the most out of every second of it. Life is definitely meant to be lived to the fullest. I hope new friendships blossom and old ones become richer with time. I also am looking forward to the new iPad, but that’s because I’m a pathetic hipster.

Often you hear or read about fire incidents in which many human lives are lost and valuable properties are damaged or destroyed. In most cases, the cause of the fire is ascertained to be minor such as a short-circuit or a cigarette spark. When you yourself happen to witness a fire either at your home or in your vicinity, you mostly blink not knowing what actually to do. Why so? It may be primarily because you don’t find a fire extinguisher around to extinguish the fire instantly. But then, do you realize what a heavy price people happen to pay for not ensuring fire safety at homes and in places of work? Today, a lot of home fire safety equipment is available in the market to deal with any type of fire, be it solid, liquid or gas. Water fire extinguisher, foam fire extinguisher, powder fire extinguisher and wet chemical fire extinguisher are some of the popular fire safety equipment that ensures maximum safety. The basic things to remember when you use a fire extinguisher are to hang them at a place that is visible to all and that can be reached quickly. Also, don’t forget to keep them out of children’s reach.

I liked a lot of things about 2010 but I suppose what I liked best was having a stable job during this difficult economy. I feel very fortunate to have one, and hope that the continued tension and economic stress doesn’t affect the company I work for too negatively. What I liked least? Well I tend to try and stay positive, but what I’ve liked least this past year is the divisive political climate. I don’t think it’s helpful or productive, and it’s definitely not making it any easier on people who may already be having a hard time.
