The perfect remodeling job

If we would live in a perfect world, where building or remodeling houses or apartments would be free of cost and free of stress and free of the implicit mess that it brings about, I would firstly be out of a job, but I may find some uses to it too!   I’m a very dynamic person, I must think very highly of a thing to say that I would change nothing about it so , I suppose that my first experiment would be my own house.  What would I change about my house?- everything, I suppose, firstly because I haven’t been inquisitive enough to see which interior decoration style suits me best but from what I have seen I think English style would be closest to my heart. Of course it concentrates on the quality of the material and the execution rather than on the design itself- some may even consider it dull- but in a perfect world, if I wouldn’t like it I would just change ot again.

Install all necessary devices before anything else

It the present times, the high rise buildings has become a very common sight. These buildings became important and inevitable because many offices and establishments wanted to operate only from the happening places in the city and hence, it is common to see many kinds of companies functioning in the same complex. While you have such huge establishments, it is equally important to install every safety device in place to avert any major accident. One such device is the dorgard fire door retainers which have become indispensable now. This dorgard helps in preventing the magnitude of any fire accident saves the inmates of an area from serious accident or asphyxiation.

Boredom and routine

Boredom is a very pertinent problem nowadays. It can set in because of having nothing to do or, on the contrary, because of having to much to do.   Like every other guy, when I’m bored I do “research”- which plainly put is  browsing the web in ferocious hunt for new cool stuff to do , maybe a few interesting business ideas, and a few sports news. When I’m really bored I check out my facebook and soundcloud profile, or I search the web for some music, but nothing can ever beat TV- another love story between man and machine deigned to keep our minds occupied and create addiction- mostly useless, but a great tool for counterattacking boredom.   Other anti-boredom activities may also include reading a book, but this is becoming increasingly outdated because when I find something of interest, I, like everyone else probably, just search it on the web.

Recurrent inspiration

SuccessTech Academy team fields questions at t...

Image via Wikipedia

Inspiration is such a fancy word isn’t it? It sends our minds almost immediately to art or  creativity in general, but a reason is also inspiration which can be viewed as a driving force or even hope. So “What drives my actions? “, “What drives my thoughts?”- these are all tricky questions, but the trickiest of all is probably “What makes me get out of bed each day and do the things I do?”- this is recurrent inspiration. Many might say money or ambition or routine, but for me its all about proof: proof that I can really do what I choose to do, proof that I can surpass my current successes and maybe, in the end, proof that I was right in doing so.   These are all just ideas things you set for yourself in the beginning and after some time it just becomes part of your life- but there are days when the end is no where in sight, days when you feel lost, and that’s when inspiration has to reappear. This is the idea of recurrent inspiration- the friend that only comes when you’re in need and for me this is the desire to succeed.    I think it’s safe to say that for me the end result is my inspiration, which ever that goal may be- it’s quite easy provided that you know what you want to achieve and also have some idea as to how to achieve it.

The greatest invention in the world

Establishing the greatest invention is a much more complicated task than it first appears: many would argue that the internal combustion engine, or the heavier- than- air man made flying machine would be some of the most important candidates in such a race, but if you actually think of it, their not. Beforehand, one must acknowledge that progress is a pyramid and there is no top without a bottom – no laptops without silicone and no cars without the wheel- which brings us to our topic. Cars are, above all, a lead character  in a love story between it and man; maybe the most passionate and thus most destructive love stories that mankind has ever shared with any of his own inventions, but, any system can be simplified to it’s most basic component, which in this case is the wheel. The wheel isn’t even regarded as an invention nowadays, most people taking it for granted, but it surely is an invention in every sense. The solution for motion brought forward by the wheel may seem obvious today but 10,000 years ago somebody actually had to think about this too and the result is so astonishing that modern day technology can only tweak it, it’s principle remaining the same!

How They Did It

To travel back in time would be amazing.  To bring back what we discover would be even more so.  If this was an option I had, I’d go to the pyramid building times.  This was the time of great advancements into math, geometry, and building as well as social mobilization of a grand scale.  I would want to know why they recorded all sorts of tidbits of life and failed to record how they created these lasting wonders.  Archaeologists have found some reminders that it was people that built these monuments and have even found their homes.  I would go to those homes and listen to the people talk about what they were building.  I would learn how people can work together with sweat and heat and no modern-day conveniences and still create something so lasting and world renown.  Traveling back in time would bring me closer to now because they made it happen without the tools we have now.  Ask those builders of today and we hear, “We can’t do that with the precision they had.”  I’d like to be able to tell the builders of old that thousands of years later, our people say they can’t match what those builders of old accomplished and see them smile.

Just Explain

If I could confront someone from my past, I would choose to confront my mother.  I was adopted because she decided I was in good hands with foster parents – all this after winning a West Virginia State Supreme Court (State vs. Edwin Flowers-circa 1970).  I would ask why she fought so hard and then gave up after winning and not claiming the prize – me.  I would ask about her life and her feelings.  People do things for reasons and those reasons usually have been learned.  What did she learn and how did it create a woman who stole a car, went to California and turned herself in?  This is something I would want to ask.  I would want to know the woman that felt me kicking inside her and yet did not collect her daughter when her prison time was complete.  Yet, I think I already know that answer.  She was a person and people make mistakes.

To Fly With the Wind

Creating a stop motion picture, Bergen Science...

Image via Wikipedia

As a child, I could run as though I were part of the wind.  Some friends had parents who would say, “Stop running!”  Mine said, “Run faster!”  If I could have one thing from childhood back in my life, it would be the feeling of being part of the motion of this planet.  Running everywhere gave me that feeling.  I would be a horse one day, a gazelle another.  Every single day, I was in motion.  I felt my body in syncopated rhythms, muscles listening and responding as I challenged myself to move with more fluidity.  My feet weren’t clumsy and old, worn out items to place into work shoes.  They were peddles of myself that thrust against the earth until I bolted into gear.  Hair was not something I worked on for hours and couldn’t muss up.  It was the mane of a lion, a horse in full stride.  Breasts weren’t things to lock in cages of bras.  They weren’t a problem when I was a child.  Running gave me swiftness, even a value.  I didn’t make Dad wait in the garden while I walked to the shed and get a tool – I ran like a deer he was tracking in November instead.  Running was life.  I wish I could do it again.

To Plan a Life

Goals, plans, and decisions make a life a story.  To make mine, I evaluate and alter my goals almost daily.  I review where I am and where I want to be.  I change what is necessary to make the improvements I want.  In my life, up to now, I’ve met some long term goals and some short term goals.  I’ve not met them all.  I’ve let a few go.  I’ve transformed the way in which I plan my life.  It now encompasses living each day with wellness in mind and not depression holding the crown.  The goals I’ve already met were but steps to where I wanted to go and that destination is not always my own decision to make.  New goals are made from seeing where I am now and where I’d like to go in the future.  Keeping in mind that life finds a way to move me through it without assistance, I’m sticking to meeting the goals of today and letting those of tomorrow have their own turn – in their own day.
